Trowbridge Snow Day

Unique Snowflakes at Trowbridge Gallery

Trowbridges UK Head Office location is most definitely not snow friendly, so I write my very first post for our new blog from home. I have set up my working station so that I can look out at my garden, across the fields and beyond. The snowflakes are tumbling down in a gentle whirlwind and I have decided that as inconvenient as this weather is, it really makes the garden look magical.

It is watching the gentle flakes float around in the air that has inspired todays post about a particular piece of Trowbridge art, the Aviva Ivory Snowflake. It is a collection of four embossed velvet panels that are individually made with a handmade snowflake design pressed into the fabric.

Aviva Ivory Snowflakes

Aviva Stanoff is the creator of this beautifully soft and calming design, one of the many that she has created during her collaboration with Trowbridge Gallery. Her work with us varies with each batch of textiles that Aviva produces but her designs and compositions remain sophisticated and subtle.

Because of the handmade design and each textile being hand dyed, etched and painted one at a time, every piece that is framed is a unique one of a kind, much like the snowflakes that are falling across Britain today.

So if you too are watching the snowflakes fall, get outside and enjoy them!
